Cleveland Kindness Challenge
Help us count a million acts of kindness from now until Dec. 15, 2020.
Whether it’s the simple act of making someone smile, helping a neighbor,
showing up for a cause we care about, or giving to those
who need our help — every act of generosity counts.
PLEASE NOTE: You don’t have to live in Cleveland to participate!

Acts of Kindess
This is an act of kindness received. My best friend has dementia and does not understand social distancing or the need for a mask, so we have not been able to walk or hike together for months. Her caregiver/boyfriend, though, set up a table with patio umbrella for me to sit at outside while she sits inside her screened in porch—an act of kindness that I’ll never forget.
We are not Catholic, but Cynthia overheard that my daughter was using a "borrowed" rosary during prayers in school. For Lauren's birthday, during a pandemic, she brought over a beautiful rosary with a hand-written note that she had been "saving it as a gift for someone special" since her trip to the Vatican when she was in Rome years ago. I am so grateful for friends like this in the midst of all that we face right now. It renews my faith that we can come together in the spirit of unity and kindness, in spite of all the differences and challenges that we face. Thank you!
